Each month, a Geneva EMBA student shares insights about their studies and professional life.
What’s your best quality as a leader?
I excel in guiding teams through uncertainty. Our company originates from Ukraine and now operates internationally and continues to grow despite the instability in that region. I’m also skilled at identifying opportunities and encouraging clear communication.
What’s your greatest professional achievement?
Growing our family business, Task Force, to an international level, despite challenging circumstances. We now have offices in New York, Warsaw, and Ukraine, and are ranked among the top 5 fastest-growing global language service providers.
What skill do you hope to develop in your EMBA?
I want a strong theoretical foundation to complement my practical experience. The Business Economics and Strategizing modules have exceeded my expectations so far.
Which values guide you in your responsibilities?
I’m driven by results, growth, and purpose. I believe in the critical role of humans in AI-dominated industries, especially in my sector, translation. My mission is to show that humans should always be at the centre of technology.
What is the most valuable lesson you’ve learned in your career?
Communication is key. Open dialogue can resolve any misunderstanding, and I draw inspiration from figures like Henry Kissinger, who excelled at conflict resolution through communication.
What motivates you to succeed?
My children, along with the desire to live life fully—to travel, enjoy life, and stay passionate about my work.
How will your career evolve after the EMBA?
I’ll continue growing my company with the added confidence and knowledge from the EMBA. As the only board member without an EMBA, I’m excited to gain the tools to lead on equal footing and drive the company forward.
How do you interact with your classmates?
I’m inspired by my classmates’ success and intelligence. The teamwork element of the program helps us connect deeply, and I’m developing my delegation and teamwork skills in the process.
