Through these few lines, the Geneva EMBA wish to pay tribute to our colleague Judith Schrempf-Stirling, Associate Professor of Responsible Management at the Geneva School of Economics and Management since 2018, whose passing leaves an immense void within our academic community.
As Academic Director of the Geneva EMBA from July 2021 to July 2025, she played a key role in the program’s development and enrichment. She also contributed significantly to the renewal of the AMBA accreditation, thereby reinforcing the academic excellence and international standing of the Geneva EMBA.
Judith Schrempf-Stirling taught the course Organizational Responsibility and Ethics, which was unanimously praised by EMBA participants for the depth of its content, the rigor of her pedagogical approach and the sincerity of her commitment. As a thesis supervisor, she guided students with high standards, kindness, and a strong sense of managerial responsibility.
An internationally recognized scholar, Judith Schrempf-Stirling made a lasting contribution to the fields of corporate responsibility, business ethics, and human rights. Through her research, published in some of the most demanding academic journals, she advanced our understanding of the role organizations play in addressing major contemporary societal challenges.
Beyond her formal roles, Judith Schrempf-Stirling was a source of inspiration to us all. Her work, her teaching and her intellectual legacy will continue to have a lasting influence on our institution and on all those who had the privilege of working alongside her.
