On Friday 17th January 2025, Professor Bernd Vogel and the dedicated team of FIA, led by our IOMBA alumnus Timothy Stuart, organised an inspiring visit to the Fédération Internationale de l’Automobile (FIA) where the EMBA participants learnt a lot about team engagement.
They explored the organization’s rich history, its global projects, numerous safety initiatives and advocacy, and its role in motorsport, including Formula 1. A key highlight was the interactive workshop, where they analyzed team engagement at FIA, and provided their external independent views and recommendations for training managers at all levels.
Founded in 1904, FIA is a global leader in promoting motorsport governance, road safety, and sustainable mobility solutions. Their efforts span across developing regulations for competitions, advocating for safer roads worldwide, and driving innovation in sustainable transportation. Formula 1, World Rally Championship (WRC), World Endurance Championship (WEC), Formula E, World Rallycross Championship – and this is just a glimpse of the many prestigious events organized by the FIA.
EMBA participants were truly impressed by FIA’s dedication to team engagement and their openness to collaboration, which made this visit even more valuable.
Here’s to a year full of speed, innovation, and collaboration!
