Each month, a Geneva EMBA student shares insights about their studies and professional life.

What is your best quality as a leader?
My ability to communicate clearly and to support customers. I believe that clarity fosters trust and enables teams to collaborate effectively and make informed decisions.

What do you consider your greatest professional achievement so far?
My ability to lead organizational change and disruptive innovation at my company. I have led my team through structural and strategic shifts, keeping a broader focus on optimization not just change.

Which skill do you most hope to develop during your EMBA programme?
I joined the EMBA to strengthen areas where I saw room for growth, particularly my financial acumen, strategic and analytical thinking and my leadership skills.

Which values guide you when taking on responsibilities, and why?
Transparency, adaptability and impact. Transparency is essential for building trust and ensuring my team is aligned, especially during times of change. Adaptability allows me to navigate evolving challenges, optimize processes and turn threats and disruptions into opportunities.

What is the most valuable lesson you’ve learned in your career?
Clear communication is key to navigating change successfully.

What motivates you to succeed, even in the face of challenges?
My family, my children and the desire to be a strong role model as a working mum. I want to show that personal growth doesn’t stop with age!

How do you envision your career evolving after completing the EMBA course?
I see myself equipped with the tools, frameworks and theoretical knowledge needed to step into a new leadership role.

What traits do you most admire in colleagues and peers from your class?
Collaboration, respect and bringing diverse perspectives to the table. We all took the DISC personality test, which helped us to better understand our different characters. This awareness also strengthened our ability to work together and brought a touch of fun to our interactions.
